If you get into a bit of a hot sweaty mess when you work out, sometimes you just want a pair of perfect ¾ black tights.
There are so many to choose from, where do you start? Here are some of my faves. You can click straight through to shop each pair.
The classic all-rounder:
1. Nike Running Dri-Fit Power Essential Crop
These tights have everything you need for a great run – a drawstring at the waist so they don’t fall down, a zip pocket for your key, reflective details to keep you visible.
To keep you cool:
2. Running Republic Airiders
So much cool technology in these tights (and the others in the Running Republic range).
They will help regulate your body temperature as things heat up. I wore them to a very hot and steamy spin class this week and I was noticeably cooler than usual! European fabric, made in Australia, all for under $90.
When you want to feel completely held in:
3. The Tight Stuff Crop by lululemon
I love these tights, they’re so supportive and smooth with all the little lulu touches I love like pockets, hi-vis detailing and internal drawstrings. They are thick, though, and very tight, so try them on first to make sure they’re your thing.
For a bit of colour:
4. P.E Nation Out of Bounds Crop
Black crops with a punch of colour blocking, these stand out from the crowd. Thick comfy fabric, these are perfect for a HIIT class.
The big softie:
5. Kapow Active Pump ¾ Leggings
These tights are sublimely comfy. Super high, super soft waist make these perfect for a spin class when you’re sitting down a bit and don’t want your tights to dig in to your tummy. Love the mesh inserts.
Light and dry:
6. New Balance Accelerate Capris from The Iconic
Lightweight fast-drying fabric, these simple tights are comfy and classic. The high waist and internal drawstring are my fave features.
For the fashionista:
7. Running Bare High Rise Runway Sprint from The Iconic
I actually have these in navy blue, and they’re great. Those perforated panels are next level fit fashion ventilation!
